When I was in 5th grade I begged my mother for an electric guitar I saw in the Sears catalog, and have been playing since then (I still have that guitar, Thanks Mom).  I have since moved on to begging my wife for gear, I must be good at this as I now own a complete recording studio and she is still complaining about her bedroom set (Thanks Teresa).  The amount of mental case musicians you deal with on a daily basis is truly amazing and as an audio engineer your first college course should be psychology 101, this also prepares you for marriage and children, but I would not recommend either, just kidding -Milt
